Be - Leadership

I am a United States Marine Corps Veteran. 

I achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant (E-6 OORAH). I served for 10 years and as a Legal Administrator, Martial Arts Instructor, and Leader of Marines.

I have planned and developed master operating schedules, developed and implemented processes, and created systems that improved the productivity, and ensured mission accomplishment for my organization. I have trained and evaluated subordinates and I have advised superiors. I have led Marines of all ages, all colors, all demographics, all genders, all religions, etc.

As a Marine leader I learned that no two Marines are alike. Although they may dress the same, speak the same lingo, and walk the same walk... each Marine wanted to be seen and heard for who they really were. I never treated two Marines the same and I learned to adapt my leaderships styles like a living and breathing shapeshifter.

But what makes Marines special in the way of leadership?

Every Marine is a warrior-- a battle tested and ready, fighting machine. Every Marine is willing to die and kill for their brothers and sisters. But it is not because we're all homicidal maniacs. No, not just that lol. We are prepared to lose our lives or take one from another because our brother or sister would for us. 

As Marines, we all share a bond - unbreakable - simply because the person to the left and to the right of us - Would.

We are all good followers and good leaders and we all live to be Led but we DO NOT follow blindly (despite popular belief). A good Marine leader understands that real Respect and Trust must be EARNED.

So I Earned It. 

By being different. By thinking outside of the box (but within regulations). By leading by example. By doing what I Say, to do.   By caring. By doing more than I was paid to. By embodying core values, customs & courtesies, and orders and directives. By BEING a Marine - I led Marines.

So my theory is, that if you ARE a Leader, You Can Lead.

Ladies and Gentlemen, my name is

But you can call me, Coach T.

Today I'm a Wife, a Mother, a Daughter, a Sister, and a Friend. And an Artist, a Life Coach, a Wedding Designer, and an Expert Cleaner of Things and People.

And I have a secret... I just recently discovered that - I'm human. 

Being a Leader of Marines is a RUSH -- a God-like high! The thrill of being soooo powerful is a just so intense that sometimes it feels like you're invincible! I - WAS - LEADERSHIP! I was literally in heaven!

But what people don't really talk about is what happens when it ends and you have to try to "normal or general population" again... no talks about a Leader of Men being back at the bottom... again.

Since 2020 (the year I left the Marine Corps) to 2022 I have had the grand fortune of experiencing the "real world or civilian world" (as we call it in the military) as a "nobody". Or "just" a veteran and man oh man I am not envious of all of the suffering you all have had to go through down here on lil' ol Earth (that is any city/town that's not on a bougie, fully furnished, clean, and orderly military base) -- alone and afraid! 

I left my earned family (the Marine Corps) to return to my real family and discovered a world of chaos, disarray, sadness, lack luster, lack of direction, leadership, and bad luck, bad timing, and generally a lonely - and cold and dark world...  

I mean nobody CARES - about - ANYTHING - EVER. Let alone all of the REAL PEOPLE that are SUFFERING - just to survive. There are people that work - FOR - YOU, Mrs. or Mr. Leader, and when was the last time YOU really CARED enough to check on them? Why do YOU think that there are soooo many unhappy workers in the world? Why can't YOU "find any good people?...

Yep, it's you.
